In my experience all I can see is what you do on brightspace itself How long you’re on specific materials, what course materials you open etc it seems to be just local to our course site I haven’t explored fully though because I don’t really care what my students are doing in other tabs etc

Brightspace is used because the servers are on the cloud, but why didn't UVic just spend the money upgrading their own servers? Admittedly I posted a meme about Brightspace being bad based purely on me being new to the site and not liking it, but after spending a good amount of time on it I can confidently say that Brightspace is just a mess

It was essential to migrate to BrightSpace from CourseSpaces in 2020 because the reliability issues with CourseSpaces were too severe to handle 100% online classes I know that several of us lost hundreds of hours of work in material customization that couldn't be ported over But we got there, and now have figured out how to make the new system more-or-less work for the courses we teach And
