Hi, I recently changed my car, and had 5 months remaining on the old cars road tax, which cost £590 to renew, last March the refund I’ve received for the remaining 5 months is £75 I expected a refund of around £245,(£50 per month) can anyone explain why the refund does not cover the full cost of the remaining 5 months, or hopefully advise how I can raise this as a complaint to vehicle

My car was initially taxed in January for 12 months but in June I had to ask my husband to submit a SORN declaration on my behalf because of a family crisis He submit SORN declaration on line but unfortunately forgot to submit a road tax refund application - there was nowhere on the web reminding applicant that a refund application should be submit as well
