Cronometer uses the recommendations from the USDA Health Canada Dietary Reference Intakes for the default nutrient targets to get users started This is just a jumping off point - all targets in Cronometer are customizable You can edit all your targets and tailor your profile to meet your individual needs!
- Exporting Data — Welcome To The Cronometer Community
I am transitioning from the New Direction diet (high-protein, low-carb) to a purely ketogenic diet MFP allows you to export a report that contains the protein, carbs, fat, sugar, and calories for each item in the food diary, and I very much hope that Cronometer will be able to provide something similar

- Entering Macros instead of foods - Welcome To The Cronometer Community
However, it doesn't take into account activity level and adjust calories based on that What i'm wanting to do (unless anyone has a better suggestion) is to be able to just add the macros for the day into cronometer that I am receiving from the meal plan app until I am finished with this quarter and have time to create recipes in chronometer again
- Automatic Water Content Tracking — Welcome To The Cronometer Community
Upon further investigation it was cronometer keep in mind that I do not track water in cronometer at all (that’s why I bought the smart water bottle) So I’m confused as to where 30+Oz of water even came from I only have one 16oz thing of decaf coffee a day that I track in cronometer after that I only drink water
- Reddits Cronometer Community! Strive for Optimal Nutrition!
One of my primary uses for Cronometer is for protein tracking And while it does a very good of that, one of the things it doesn't account for is the quality of the protein source For most meat and dairy products, this isn't really an issue, as most of those sources tend to be at or above 0 95 (95%)
- Water entry confusion — Welcome To The Cronometer Community
I need to track that I am drinking 8 glasses of water per day The water area of the Diary shows a line of glasses with 'plus' signs in them and a bar graph showing % complete of a 3700 gram target which I cannot find any way of customizing
- How to input restaurant or fast food options?
Sorry for breaking into the discussion so late, but the post caught my attention I'm also on the ketogenic diet, and I totally get your struggle with finding the right options to add to your food diary
- Logging meat (raw vs cooked) - Welcome To The Cronometer Community
We recommend using the NCCDB when logging foods in Cronometer because they provide the most nutrient data NCCDB provides the nutrient info for prepared foods, in other words the data is for a cooked serving of meat If you're looking for raw instead, I recommend searching for a USDA Search for the name of the meat and add raw at the end
