- Amp and Sub Recommendation - Revel F208 - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
Reading the high praise for the F208 by the ASR community helped me make the decision to purchase after listening to the similar product offerings in the price range from KEF, Golden Ear, Focal, Martin Logan, and Paradigm Thank you to Amir and the community for the reviews I need to purchase an amp, preamp, and sub to complete the system
- Revel F206 and F208 - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
I went thru this dilemma almost 10 years ago when I bought the F208 The F206 are great speakers and with a sub the F208 would be a modest upgrade sound wise But visually the F208 is a much larger speaker and looks more imposing If you are watching a movie, with the C208, I’m not even sure you can tell between the two
- Heard a Revel and JBL Synthesis for the first time: F208, F228Be, 4367 . . .
F208: Sounded fine to me, good low end, midrange sounded natural, top end was nice, over all nothing special F228Be: Sounded better to me, less low end but more defined maybe, midrange the same, top end seemed more defined to me
- Kef R11 (Non-Meta) vs Revel F208 - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
The F208, NIB, are likely to cost more, I am comfortable with buying used however The R11 (Non-Meta) although they are being discontinued are compelling at the current <$1500 oo per speaker I have JBL LSR305 for surround

- Revel F206 v. F208 v. Dynaudio - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
The F208 is much smoother in that range and doesn't have the peaks in the midrange that the F206 does Like most people, I am sensitive in the range, and my room has excess energy in the 1-3khz range, which will not be helpful The full power curve of the F208 also makes them look a bit more laid back overall
- Comparing Revel F208 and F228Be - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
After doing a lot of reading (especially here, and other places), I've gravitated towards the Revel F208 and F228Be speakers as possible upgrades $5K vs $10K for the pair Fairly big difference in price, and I'm trying to get a handle on the "is it worth it and will I hear the difference" question
- Has anyone compared the KEF R11 to the Revel F208?
Hello, I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a pair of F208's, but I just noticed that KEF R11's are on sale for $4800 pair, whereas the F208's seem to have actually increased in price to $5500 pair since the last time I was looking at them only a few months ago I did see the thread
- Revel F208 Tower Speaker Review - Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
This is the measurement with a high crossover at 52hz for the f208, and the same hz number and lower goes to the subwoofers, and the slight peq I made myself (92 and 139 -2 Left and 61 and 90hz -2 db right F208) Then I ran Dirac View attachment 441298 and the full shebang View attachment 441299 all on 1 12 smoothing What do you think?
