- Dropping CA125 - Ovarian Cancer Community - Inspire
They now (for political reasons I think) want me to think things are continuing to get worse but on its own it's dropped by 50% to 1700 (well, thanks to diet, exercise etc) I asked how it can drop if the cancer is getting worse and they said that sometimes tumours get too old to exppress CA125
- dropping CA125 numbers — Cancer Survivors Network
From what I understand every woman has her own lowest CA125 point she would reach when in remission It's called nadir or what your doctor called baseline Once nadir is reached, CA125 will not go any lower, no matter how many extra rounds of chemo you get
- CA-125 Blood Test: Results, Normal Range What To Expect
If your numbers go down over time, it usually means cancer treatment is working Monitor if ovarian cancer comes back after successful treatment This is done every few months or every year, depending on when you finished treatment
- Nervous about CA125 stagnation - Ovarian Cancer Community - Inspire
Your body is still recovering from surgery and CA 125 is affected by inflammation My CA stayed elevated during treatment and did not drop until a month after my last chemo You had excellent surgery with HIPEC which is the best possible scenario
- Rising then falling CA125 levels - Cancer Chat | Cancer Research UK
My CA125 levels went as low as 67 but are now climbing again I was tested yesterday and the result was 107 My body is still fighting as the rise is slow, but I am keeping a very close eye
- CA-125 dropping with chemo but NOT MUCH; does that mean its no longer . . .
But are these very small drops in CA-125 indicative that this chemo is no longer really effective at holding my cancer at bay and I should be looking ahead to something new? Did anyone else see a trend like that where a chemo just gradually starting to be less effective?
- CA125 levels - Macmillan Online Community - Macmillan Cancer Support
CA125 can go up and down for different reasons Anything under 35 is considered normal An increase in CA125 could indicate that cancer is becoming active ( although infections can cause it to go up a small amount) A decrease would imply that treatment is being successful
- Ca125 up and down - Ovarian Cancer Community - Inspire
My Ca125 went from 8 to 16 after I had hip surgery as I fell and broke my hip when I was going through chemo Then a few weeks later it went back down to 6, my oncologist said the hip surgery and the stress had made it fluctuate
- Really worried about CA 125 results - Cancer Research UK
They didn't get a clear view of my right ovary so I have been referred for an MRI just to get it checked out properly My doctor has said she doesn't think there is anything to worry about My CA 125 came back just above normal range at 39 and my only symptoms were needing to go the loo a lot more
- CA-125 Results Went Up: Should I be concerned? - Mayo Clinic Connect
We were all celebratory as your CA 125 levels were dropping It's true that a decreasing CA 125 level often indicates that the cancer is responding to treatment A rising CA 125 level may indicate a return or continued growth of the cancer
