Two of the main things preventing even more people from doing so is that they want DVR capabilities (and don't realize that Tivo offers that for OTA signals), and that there are a small core group of cable channels they desire (many of which are in the Sling TV $20 mo package--for example, the main cable channels my family would like to have

TiVo responded: "Sling TV integration in the TiVo Stream app is no longer available You can still use the Sling app directly on the device " I believe that was the main selling point for this device in the first place

Your Tivo and Sling TV service can't possibly affect each other So your Tivo connections are irrelevant Getting a better wifi or hardwired ethernet connection to your streaming device should improve your picture, assuming your internet provider's speed is fast enough for Sling Probably needs to be at least 5 Mbps for HD

The AirTV Anywhere is $199, but there is a better deal! Go to Sling com and one of the offers is for the AirTV Anywhere for $99 when you prepay for 3 months of either Sling Blue or Sling Gold, that costs $90 for the 3 months making the whole deal about $10 less than buying the AirTV Anywhere itself

If you subscribe to Sling, you can get them to send you a free network adapter The adapter connects to your home TV antenna and your router You can then watch local channels thru the Sling app on your TV Stream 4k Even if you later stop paying for sling, you keep the adapter, and the locals will still work in the sling app

I would be happy to just have a link to a Sling TV app within my Tivo Bolt so I could go directly from Tivo to Sling without using a different remote to change inputs in my audio-HDMI switcher box to access my Roku or Amazon Fire Stick That should be simple Integrating the Tivo Sling guides would be more complex

If you want to go with Sling, then a combo of the AirTV Mini + AirTV 2 + USB hard drive + OTA antenna is probably your best bet for an integrated UI UX (Or instead of the $99 Air TV 2, with 2 OTA tuners, you could go with the $199 Air TV Anywhere which has 4 tuners and includes the hard drive
