As Yahoo and AOL are the same company for mail purposes, I think partially it's an AOL Yahoo issue and partially an Outlook issue No solution occurs to me yet Have tried adding the Yahoo account and that works by providing the password, but of course doesn't have any of the other emails (it was basically an account to provide for junk purposes)

Hi, I got my AOL acct to work on Win11 by first going to AOL in a browser to generate an Outlook Password Go to the far top left to Options>Account Info>Account Security>Scroll Down to Generate and Manage App Passwords>Select a name for ex Outlook PC>Copy Password>Now Click Add Account in Outlook>Click Other Account Pop, IMAP>Enter AOL email>Enter Name>Lastly, Paste the Generated Password

If AOL Mail is not working in win 10 Mail, try this: Remove AOL account from Win 10 Mail Login to AOL Online Under your name select "Account Info" On the left select "account security" at the bottom

Freaking hours and hours of frustration I couldn't get my mail to update and then I figured out the SMTP server that I was told was wrong (i used smtp aol com, which is what had been posted somewhere, but it's wrong Who knew?) I have since called AOL Apparently, the panel that opens in Outlook 356 while trying to set up email is a Yahoo panel Yahoo owns AOL AOL owns Verizon emails The companies are not connected for the email service I can't use the Yahoo window for AOL emails, but I had no other options I found this article online:

Maybe i am formatting something wrong, however, could someone PLEASE give me STEP BY STEP instructions on how to set up E-Mail in the “NEW” OUTLOOK for mail app for Verizon AOL e-mail? May I know if AOL mail you mentioned is a 3rd-party mailbox? If yes, I sincerely apologize, the using of 3RD -party mailbox in Outlook is out the scope of our support We suggest searching for relevant user forums where other users might have shared solutions to similar problems
