Each year, Camosun’s IECC (Centre for Indigenous Education and Community Connections) partners with the Lekwungen (Songhees) Nation to host a pit cook demonstration that explores how local First Nations traditionally cooked camas bulbs between layers of locally harvested plants (like sword fern, salal, or skunk cabbage)
