I've been banging my head against this problem for hours and found an old glosc forum post about uwp apps giving error messages about not having a shortcut created for non-steam games The fix was to add your own because the glosc program needs it as an example or something like that

I have the Xbox pc games pass and those games are UWP For steam i can use GlosSI and UWPHook but those don't work with lossless scaling I've tried granting permission to myself for the folder with the windows games exe's but lossless scaling still doesn't have permission to open them

Might be possible to resolve by specifying a launcher to ignore You can also try disabling automatic closing when the game closes (you'll have to manually close the glossi window after quitting the game) Might also try disabling the glossi steam overlay so it only does controller emulation

Disabling the Steam Overlay on Glossi fixes the issue Kinda mundane and obvious in hindsight, but I figure it might help someone Of course that means you can't edit layouts when Glossi is running though, which sucks

UWP might be worth it one day but there are many reasons for Valve to not bloat the software with support for it Thanks for the Glossi recommendation, I wanted to use steam input in a game pass game and it worked perfectly for me
