IXL is the better curriculum by far My child loves that it is super straightforward and doesn't have the busy work that other curriculums have Almost every lesson comes with a micro video lesson to review or learn the topic These are 3 or 4 minute lessons that are effective at teaching the problems within that lesson We love IXL

Miacademy is an accredited full curriculum homeschool option We spend about 4-5 hours a day using this curriculum and it has been amazing for my daughter My daughter used iXL in public school prior and she wasn’t a fan There are a lot of resources and extension activities to use within Mia as well!

Once when I was in 2nd grade it took me 6 fricking hours to finish just 1 ixl skill all because of the stupid dumbass system which takes off points if you get a question wrong, and you have to get to 100 points That was how it took me 6 hours ALL CAUSE OF IXL'S STUPID GRADING SYSTEM

IXL is fine as long as you use it right Preview the skill, work through the problems, determine an acceptable SMART Score for your students to go up to The majority of issues with IXL are the result of teachers not researching the skills ahead of time, then asking the students to go up to 100 on the skill
