When you get to costs this low, there’s other considerations For example FZROX has slightly underperformed VTI (vanguards total stock market index) because they track the market slightly differently VTI costs 03% but even after expenses had beaten FZROX because it tracks the market ever so slightly better At the end of the day, both are
- VTI VOO vs. FZROX : r Bogleheads - Reddit
FZROX currently trades at $14 06 per share while VTI and VOO trade at $202 46 and $354 20 respectively Clearly, you can buy more shares of FZROX This is a dumb meaningless argument Are 50 pennies better than two quarters? Moreover, FZROX has no minimums and has 0% ER, so it would be completely irrational to not buy FZROX over VTI

- What are the communities thoughts on FZROX? : r investing - Reddit
Your money is always yours In a retirement account (such as IRA), proprietary mutual funds, such as FZROX, is not a big deal to transfer to another broker as you can liquidate to cash (i e , sell all shares) then transfer as cash For taxable accounts, it's the same, but you just have to account for any capital gains losses

FZROX is the best option in tax advantaged accounts VTI is better in taxable accounts ETFs have a slight tax advantage, and you can easily transfer them to another brokerage FZROX is only at Fidelity So if you want to change brokerages, you'd have to sell all FZROX, realize and pay taxes on the capital gains, and transfer cash
- Thoughts on going all in on FZROX? : r Bogleheads - Reddit
My 401k is invested in a 2060 fund, however, I am trying to decide where to allocate my Roth, HSA and taxable investment account These accounts are mostly invested in FBGRX (I use Fidelity) but I would like to move everything over to an index fund Would it be appropriate to go all in on FZROX with my Roth, HSA and taxable account?
- For those with Fidelity - FZROX or FSKAX and why?
FZROX has slightly performed better over its very short history than FSKAX Also zero expense ratio cannot be beat FSKAX pays a higher dividend percentage and more often during a calender year Over the long-term, the dividend reinvestments will help it surpass FZROX
- FZROX vs FSKAX : r fidelityinvestments - Reddit
Age - FZROX is a relatively newer fund with less history but both are Fidelity so not really a big concern Personally I went with FSKAX for the diversification (main reason, although I do also hold individual stocks in some of the larger names which gives me more of a large cap tilt overall), portability, and more frequent dividend payouts
