I bypass my login screen and go direct to my desktop, I have it set to boot and accept my password and boot direct to desktop ,also I go to settings and chose what ever wallpaper I want ,, also change accent colors in settings ,and the lock screen ,so unless I'm missing the meaning of your post one doesn't need 3rd party apps to do either thing
