Venable's Bicycles opened in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1956, and closed its doors in 2004 I couldn't find much else about it, but it's cool to learn of another local bike shop that once existed It's also cool because that means that this bike has stayed close to home its whole life! It also makes me wonder who bought this bike originally

Take it from the drive side (right side) Check the underside of the bottom bracket for the serial number (you'll have to turn the bike upside down) If it was made by Giant, you might see something like "G0887": G = Giant 08 = August 87 = 1987 Your High Sierra sounds like a 1987 or 1988 model, but can't narrow it down more without the serial # or a photo The U-brake makes
