I had been wondering about the mis-selling of car finance that has been widely publicised and wondered if it applied to me, but hadn't done anything Anyway, out of the blue last week, I got a unprompted letter from Black Horse saying they had overcharged me interest on an old agreement and were going to issue a cheque for c £57

Hi, I am 100% sure I held an agreement with Black Horse during the car finance miss-selling time I have given them all of my information except the agreement number as I do not have this I have even shared with them a recipt number and email from settling the finance, and my bank details and statement showing my direct debit coming out

Any mis-selling complaint must go to the seller of the insurance, not the provider As such complaints about car Finance PPI should be addressed to the original car dealer, not Black Horse Anything prior to January 2005 was not regulated

I've currently got two complaints in with Black Horse Finance, both of which they've confirmed had discretionary commission agreements They asked for further information about the sale, which I provided (basically on both sales no information was provided on interest rates etc at the time, and was likely buried in the fine print)

From memory they were one of the finance houses who would take on the riskier end of the business When we put people through on the system who had slightly dodgy history or had moved around a lot Black Horse would look on them a tad kinder than others and therefore I think they took on some bad business

i was wondering if anyone else putting a claim in with Black Horse has been told they have no record of any finance with them? I had 3 agreements with them within the required timescale and they have told me there is no record of any agreement at all 🤷🏻♀️ I find this very strange as I definitely had 3 cars with them and finance arranged by the Car People at a higher interest rate
