Does anyone have tint on their front windshield? I know 3M makes a crystalline 90% tint which is basically clear but the heat reduction is noticeable (at least during a heat lamp test in their store I could tell) I can imagine during long drives and track days this would be beneficial

This windshield is quick release, so if I'm riding around locally and not far, I can pop it off in 2 seconds, but if I want to go for a longer ride, I really don't care how my bike looks lol I'm also planning a trip to California in June, around 13,000 km total distance, this windshield will come in handy

I don't think that is correct about after-market tints being illegal in UK As far as I know, UK law does not distinguish between factory or after-market tints but stipulates that front windshield and front side windows must have up to 75% and 70% light transmission respectively, but all windows behind the driver can have any tint darkness levels

I tint my windows in all my cars with the lightest tint even the windshield to protect the interior from UV light Especially Ferraris with the soft leather they put on the dash Even with doing the windshield I put a cover over it if the car is going to be outside for awhile

Its not legal to tint the windshield What color is your dash? Dash reflections are often a problem with non-black dashes The lighter the color, the worse it is If black, do you use Armor-all or any other sort of wax that makes it shiny? If so, stop that! (Use leather conditioners, but avoid the coatings )

Having said that, the windshield does not look like it has any plastic film on the inside that would be aftermarket There is no visible difference between the side windows and the windshield with regard to darkness etc unless it is 95-100% tint film Could be some anti-glare, or it could be the glass is scratched This is a factory logo
