3060ti + 5600x user here 3060ti is a beast, even at 1440p - Insurgency @ 1440p on High settings (with medium shadows) and get 110-162 fps (my cap) depending on the map and explosions etc Mostly sit 140-160fps - Doom Eternal @ 1440p on Ultra Nightmare settings with DLSS quality and I hit my 162 fps cap Ray Tracing absolutely tanks performance

Case in point the PS5 GPU is 10 teraflops whereas the 3060Ti is 16 teraflops yet the PS5 as a whole runs games at roughly the same performance as the 3060Ti currently and can even do ray tracing And I guarantee you in the years to come as devs learn to optimize better on the PS5 to get every ounce of performance out of it, it'll trump anything

3060ti FE idles at 30-35C depending on how hot the day is Under load with Witcher 3 (most taxing game installed in the pc), it bounces between 75-77C (never gone over 77C) W3 running at max settings at 1440p This is in an NZXT H200 case, so worst case scenario as far as airflow goes for a GPU

Hell you can feel 3060ti -> 6700xt --> 6800xt --> 7800xt each step along the way However, I don't think it's big enough to jump at, or at least I wouldn't be pressured into it Wait for a bigger "wow" upgrade unless you don't mind spending the money (and, if that's the case, then might as well get the 7900's)

For the price of a 3060ti you can get the better performing 6700xt for less Do your own research on performance comparisons at your desired resolution though Would only recommend the 3060ti if you definitely want to go with nvidia or it better fits your use case (i e GPU upgrade and nvidia better fits your other components)

3060ti, you get 5 8% less rasterisation performance on average, but much better RT performance (probably in the region of 20 30%) and DLSS support, along with the streamer features (if relevant), I do predict the 8gb vram will become limiting at 1440p in the realistic lifespan of the card
