once again I acquired a mopar vehicle, leftover 2018 dodge journey with 2 4L 4-banger 4-speed auto trans; engine oil spec is 5w-20 with chrysler ms-6395 certification anyone know of a good list of oils with ms-6395 so I am not chasing my tail like I've been since 2011 when I bought my first mopar; new vehicle = using oils with chrysler spec

When I first got my 04 Neon I was looking into this heavily I actually got the latest spec from Mopar and it was with one exception was LINE for LINE GF-4 So SL GF-3 with MS-6395 was oil that met GF-4 before it was finalized Just before the release of the 5000,7500, and 15000 Mobil stuff they had a reformulated Drive clean that was SL GF-3

For MS 6395 in the broadly available retail brands, only Mobil 1 synthetics come to mind not being tested for meeting the spec - but this falls outside your question on conventional or synthetic blends Mobil 5K conventional, Mobil Special conventional, and Mobil Super synthetic do meet MS-6395

Mostly because back then there weren't too many oils that met the Chrysler MS-6395 spec Now there are several Because of the supply chain shortage the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum can be hard to find at times I noticed today that my Wal-Mart has Castrol Edge Full Synthetic in 5W-20, and it also meets the MS-6395 Chrysler spec
