It sounds to me like MARS and any other makers whose trip bars keep bending don’t understand metallurgy If they used the right type of steel and hardened it to springyness (new word) like an AK military select lever then it probably wouldn’t happen

Yes, the 5 cell was the earliest type and was issued with type 1s and type 2s, produced from ~ late 1949- ~ early 1955 After this the AK was issued with only 4 mags up until the present day, the 4th slot of the AK-74 mag pouch was for spare stripper clips Both of those ink stamps are factory Russian, looks like yours is 1951 production
