Hi all, Wonder if you might jhave the knowledge I need regarding a 12 ft aluminum alumacraft I'm looking to buy I need some information re: max horsepower as would appear on the capacity plates It's probably from the late 60's to the late 70's No capacity plates are anywhere in the boat

Noted that Alumacraft started all their serial # model runs w #100 So if yours is Serial # FD 122, it is likely a 1958, as it was the 22nd FD produced in that run Looks like ALumacraft keeps pretty good records Find that stamped serial # (hopefully on the knee brace) and get in touch w Alumacraft ask them what year it is:

AlumaCraft was the first with this and never had a transom failure Some later 1970's models aqueducts weren't braced, along with other minor boat changes, maybe as rated maximum horsepower was reduced for safety

Re: AlumaCraft Classic 16 Live Well operation Your boat should be equipped with an electric pump and a switch to fill the livewell If there's a hole in the bottom of your livewell, you should have a standpipe that either pushes or screws in When you put the pipe in and turn the pump on the well will fill

Well, our local Alumacraft dealer's mechanic suggested it could be buried under the foam too by the manufacturer My thinking is ANY manufacturer that would try something like that on a serviceable part would get shamed out of business in their first year Just sayin'
