I called Roggio Arsenal to verify the starting serial numbers and initial production date RA09010000 is the starting number and Jan 6th was the 1st run of commercial production The Serial Number breakdown goes like this RA is Raggio Arsenal, 09 is the year, 01 is the month and then the individual number 0000

I have a RA stamped Smith Corona 1903A3 that came in it's original NRA box that was shipped directly from Raritan Arsenal to the person that bought it through the NRA in the '60s (for $19 I might add) I did a little searching and found that RA-P (or RA-something) would be a Raritan Arsenal stamp I apologize if I threw out bad information LL
