My daughter has a Marantz CD Receiver M-CR603 It has stopped working and the display shows a fast flashing red timer light The manual simply says, take the unit to a Marantz Service Centre Any suggests as to what the problem might be and if it is fixable? My marantz m-cr603 timer light started blinking and the whole machine stopped working and became unresponsive I read the manual and the light means that the set is damaged I have no idea what caused it or what should I do, im well out of warranty

I got the speed issue under control, the belt must have been too low high on the plate I looked at some diagrams on wiring and from what I see the hook up is pretty straight forward You guys have been awesome, thanks again

OK, so this has been a really decent turntable until the last couple days where the speed during playback has suddenly started fluctuating intermittently The belt that's on there is clear and it could be ancient but it looks and feels OK I ordered a replacement belt from Vintage Electronics but I can't help but think this could be something else

As a quick experiment, I jammed a couple pieces of paper under the pulley to raise it up, and bingo, speed issue was gone Now, the trouble is going to be finding that special plastic screwdriver you need to install the pulley correctly
