  • Buffalo Restaurant
I remember going to the original location on Pulaski as a young kid I recall it having turn-of-the-20th century decor and if I remember correctly, a calliope inside that still played, I think, for when people had birthdays Also they'd bring you a huge bowl of ice cream with a sparkler in it when it was your birthday Options: Reply • Quote AD: Re: Buffalo Restaurant Posted by: shekaago

  • Old settler relative, missed opportunity.
No, it wasn't Beaubien! It might come to me one day! In my short conversation with the woman, I didn't even get a chance to verify her last name! But the family was well known in the Lawrence and Pulaski avenue area! But she did indicate that I was talking to that old settler's relative!
  • Terra Cotta Horsehead
Horse heads on buildings usually mean you are looking at a former stable Could have been a dairy stable? There is a plaque by that one, I seem to remember something about the great fire, then again, maybe not Options: Reply • Quote AD: Re: Terra Cotta Horsehead Posted by: SuperCFL (--- dsl chcgil sbcglobal net) Date: March 07, 2008 12:05AM
