On my chrome browser it keeps redirecting to yahoo I have ran antivirus, rKill and looked for malicious extensions or installed apps and there are no suspicious files or threats detected but the issue is very much there as I cannot use chrome on my laptop Please advise on how to get rid of it as this is very frustrating

An easy way to find the right settings page if you are using Chrome like I am is to just Google something and then click the little button that will look like two dots on lines - this will replace the Yahoo logo in the picture above Click on this button and it will come up with a dropdown box Slick on 'Site Settings'

If it's the first page only that has yahoo as the search engine (YAHOO Searches) try this (Windows 11): Go to settings of Edge Tap on "Start, home, and new tabs" Under "Open these pages" should be the URL for the yahoo page that keeps opening Upon deleting this, it should solve the problem

I did complete and offline Defender Virus scans, which I thought might be cause for Yahoo coming up as search engine On pc with edge only other pref is bing Occasionally I use chrome google - the extent of my browing I have no java installed that I am aware of
