Blue Loctite absolutely will turn to dust on a gas block with enough rapid fire The gas block is one of the hottest parts on an AR-15 “Hand tight” is roughly around 25 inch pounds I find people often over torque things when they don’t use torque wrenches, because they think they know what hand tight is I’d at least use Loctite 271
