Web proxies are simpler, for sure, but they won't be able to tunnel a lot of traffic you might want Obviously they only work with browser traffic so you won't be able to tunnel traffic for other applications Another drawback is that if the proxy server's domain or IP are blocked, you won't be able to use them, unliked VPNs that might use more complex protocols to get around blocking
