Made in Japan, in a separate custom shop, run by Master cue makers, from what I read Musashi cues look very nice, but they are far less expensive then Mezz Exceed cues Still retailing in the 2-3k price range though, I believe, so they are not cheap either

My advice would to be buy the cheapest carbon fiber cue they can find Carbon helps lower level players and beginners It allows them to just point and aim As for giving advice to my younger self about cues, buy the most expensive cue you can buy You'll actually spend less money in the long run

Listen, some cue makers make great cues, but the secondary cue market just does not support those cues as it does the cues from guys like Scruggs, Tascarella, Richard Black, etc --- JOE Porper cues never had a good secondary market- period- there is one on e bay now- it is a very, very nice cue from Joe P and it has had only one bid in 3 days- the asking opening bid of $300- I bet that it

My first cue was a M Fats Graphite and a little later a fiberglass shafted cue Both gifted to me At the time with my skill level I had no idea how crappy they were My first purchased cue was a Pechauer around $350 Beautiful cue, Lifetime guaranteed, made in the USA, super nice well-made cue It was definitely a confidence booster

Being able to buy a cue where I can reasonably assume it was made in a factory where the worker was being paid a fair wage I have really fond memories of growing up using my Dad’s Mali pool cue he’s had since 1979 and find that cues from the same era tend to often elicit really nice nostalgia feelings of my childhood for me

I'm reasonably familiar with what I'd want in a pool cue (18oz , no wrap, pro taper, medium tip, 30" shaft, 13mm tip), but less so with billiard cues I'm open to any help recommendations, and the more specific you can be, the better, in terms of the best tip diameter, hardness, brand, shaft taper, weight, joint type, ferrule, etc etc etc
