  • A Clarification of WWII Bell Trading Post Hallmark for Airborne Wings
Bell Trading Post, also known by the name, Bell Products, made military insignia from the 1930's until sometime in the 1980's They are no longer in business They were located in Albuquerque, New Mexico Their hallmark was an upright sign post with an arrow pointing east and a sign with a bell hanging from the arrow
  • GEMSCO AGO G2 jump wings -When used and what meaning?
Their hallmark was a wreath surrounding the name, GEMSCO As far as I can tell that is the earliest hallmark for this company That symbol continued to be used on papers and cards up until the time they went out of business Other hallmarks used were GEMSCO N Y and GEMSCO STERLING These are seen on WWII period insignia
  • Meyer: N. S. Meyer - REFERENCE (Listed in Alphabetical Order) - U. S . . .
Today I was going through some of the new posts and on several I came across questions regarding the N S Meyer hallmark Particularly it was asked which hallmarks were used by N S Meyer on DIs DUIs during World War II? Several members mentioned the one hallmark with the company name and the Meyer shield
  • USAAF and USN WW2 era WINGS hallmarks - U. S. Militaria Forum
Maybe this can start a pinned thread I started a small library of hallmarks of wings as I find them and posted them on my website here: I know a few of the rather rarer hallmarks have escaped me Most of these hallmarks are from wings in my collection with a few images "borrowed" off of ebay htt
  • REFERENCE (Listed in Alphabetical Order) - US MILITARIA FORUM
I would date the Senior Parachutist Badge as most likely made in the 1950’s Below the senior are two basic wings The bottom one is marked LGB Sterling and the one above it is marked BALFOUR Sterling 1B which is the later hallmark Five of these wings have the distinctly different design found on some older parachute wings
