it must have pressed something because my Fn key is now stuck on with a little green light how do i stop it without going into settings at they are blocked on my computer is there a key shortcut would be grateful to anyone who can help MT

When I press the Fn key the light on the key remains on I'm just wondering how I can unlock the key? I have restarted my computer and have done a system restore and the issue still remains I also do not have any updates available Please note that I have a Surface Book and not a Surface Pro, therefore the CAPS + Fn method does not unlock it

The top keyboard row can be toggled between sending, on the one hand, the pictorial hotkeys by default (and sendting the PFKs only when Fn is pressed as well), and, on the other hand, sending the PFKs by default (and sending the pictorial hotkeys only when Fn is pressed as well)

Your keyboard hardware chip itself detects the FN key and sends windows the resulting signal of either plan F2 or volume down (for example in this case), but Windows doesn't know that the FN key is involved, as far as Windows "knows", the volume-down and F2 really are two different keys
