The Finale manual seems to use the word highlight exclusively for selecting text or music for subsequent operations So maybe they use a different word for the background coloring I'm talking about Does anyone know if it's possible?

The Finale gremlins, or cosmic rays, have struck again: I tried to open an old file (from '99) and got a nastygram about "invalid file type " I thought each version of Finale could at least open files from previous versions I have a file view utility and this one appears to be a straight binary, but some corrupted files actually have some kind

"Thanks for contacting MakeMusic customer support I did some testing with custom percussion MIDI maps in Finale 2011 and I believe that the issue is a defect with the program It doesn't seem to be specifically related to OSX 10 9, since I get the same behavior in OSX 10 8 Finale is able to create the new XML file, but it is unable to write
