My question is I have floated only once on a river (yakima) and plan on floating the methow with my 15 year old son and want to know which sections of the river would be the best to float? I have allot of boat experience, 20 years of commercial fishing (14 years ago) and I know this is a different situation

Any of the one-man rafts you mention are well suited to floating any of the Puget Sound rivers that are open to winter steelhead fishing They are also commonly used on OP coastal rivers, although I don't recommend floating the Sol Duc or Calawah without first gaining a good deal of river experience
