I'm confused with Google Cloud's documentation on GKE In the Compare network models doc, it says GKE has a fully integrated networking model which suggests to me it has its own CNI implementation

I have also read that due to a bug in the GKE load balancer, any changes in the node port service requires that the load balancer be deleted and rebuilt So, I have tried every combination of the suggestions above, deleted and rebuilt the load balancer after every change, and waited 15 minutes for the load balancer to build successfully

The GKE Ingress controller runs on a managed master node by GCP, not as a regular pod, so you are not able to view its logs or runa ny kubectl operations on it
