GrLevel3 only displays level 3 radar, which is a lower resolution than level 2 GrLevel2, as the name suggests, displays only level 2 radar Downloading level 2 radar files takes up much more bandwidth than level 3 to the point that its still impractical to use level 2 while you're out in the field Use GrLevel2 at home, and GrLevel3 in your car

So I just downloaded the trial version of GRlevel3 (Yes, I am loving it so far) I am really enjoying the program, but since I am somewhat new to meteorology and the technical aspects deciphering weather information I am totally lost when it comes to those acronyms and abbreviations that show

GRLevel3 does show the SCIT data from the 88D and has the 15 minute tick marks on the lines No one other than Baron can automatically use the radar data to make arrival times as this is a Baron patent

For those who haven't yet, use the level3 update link above to update to GRlevel3 2 90, which will get you access to the super-res data You'll need to opt-in for SuperRes data by going into File->Configure Polling and checking the "Enable SuperRes when available" box”

How does GRLevel3 compare to StormPredator 3 for use in an environment where lay people (weather-wise) will have limited training on how to use the software and recognize severe weather? What advantages do the softwares have against each other? Like I said, I haven't used StormPredator 3, but I have used GRLevel3 and really love it

Does anyone know if it's possible to increase the polling frequency in GRLevel3? My radar images in GR are updating about 3 to 5 minutes after other online radar sources (COD, etc), and of course those few extra minutes are critical when chasing I can refresh COD radar and see the new image is
