Thank! I open ticket with Garmin and their support was fantastic and received email over the weekend! Anyhow, after the troubleshooting and sending back forth, it was determined that the transducer (as suspected) was the issue and lucky was still under warranty

Im not trying to plug one unit vs another The Echomap Ultra is a lot less $'s than the the 8612xsv What Garmin told me it was developed for mainly the inshore fisherman The 8612 does have a better resolution but it offers a bunch of features for the offshore boater that the Echomap Ultra does not do

Garmins customer service is exceptional But after having the spot lock go out repeatedly and having to do all major repairs myself since there’s is no garmin repair center nearby, I had to go back to ultrex When the force works properly, there is not a better trolling motor out there I run all garmin graphs and loved the force when it worked

I just put two new Garmin depth finder’s on my up front livescope and now looking at trolling motor I have the terrova on the boat now but it has some problems and it’s a 2016 model spot lock never been good but stopped working completely now am looking at going with a Garmin kraken I have not heard much information on them was hoping to
