- Trike-to-Gyro or Gyro-to-Trike? | Rotary Wing Forum
The dilemma is whether it’s easier to convert a trike to a gyro… or a gyro to a trike…for dual purpose applications If you accept a HTL this it’s fairly easy to do either way However, since either CLT or BTWB is my preference for a gyro, and a low CG is my preference for a trike, it seems like BTWB is the best compromise
- Gyro Fuel Storage | Rotary Wing Forum
Doug, I certainly respect your opinion but I don't see much difference in placing the fuel cell above the pilot and the pilot setting in the middle of a pool of it like is done now A leak anywhere is going to be a problem I just don't see a safe place to carry fuel on a gyro
- Any Cavalon owners willing to share their experiences?
Paul, thanks for writing I was a fixed wing pilot with an instrument rating and about 800 hours when I ordered my gyro I researched carefully, flew every model that I could and put heavy emphasis on build quality I chose the Auto-Gyro "Cavalon" because of the experienced builder and quality of workmanship
- Safest side by side Gyro in the world? M24 vs Cavalon
From my observation, in the US mature men with an average age of over 60 want to be Gyro pilots, in Europe this average age is much lower and is around 40 This can be invaluable in alerting and reacting to what is happening with the gyro during takeoff, landing and maneuvers As we know, in most accidents the cause is human factor

I am not an employee of any gyro company I do however own BOTH a High Thrust Line gyro and a CLT gyro Though is issue is more important with low-time pilots any pilot can get in to a PIO situation Where CLT helps is it not only greatly reduces PIO it 'virtually' elminates the fatal PPO "bunt-over" IMHO CLT is safer peroid IMHO CLT saves lives
