- Gyu-Kaku is seriously the best Japanese food I’ve ever had.
Gyu Kaku is a Japanese BBQ restaurant in Overland Park (and popular chain in Japan apparently) I didn’t even know it existed We were at the mall and just looking for places to grab food We got lucky because they happened to have an open table but they said it’s typically reservation only So if you go just make sure to plan for that

Also, I don't think a Japanese BBQ restaurant with this concept exists in GSO or the Triad It's an option for those who seek it People will spend money for it just like they do with $20-30 plates at Mimi's Cafe or $15 drinks at Dram and Draught

Haven’t been to gyu kaku in Toronto but I used to go all the time in Vancouver The best value is the lunch special on weekdays or super happy hour Can easily fill you up for like 20 dollars I feel like the food is not as good at gyubee but I really like ayce, even though I don’t really feel like I’m getting any more value
