I have heard that Microsoft has included "HEIC Image Viewer - Support Converter" in some versions of Windows 10 But, I did a clean install of Windows 10 a couple of months ago and found out recently that I had to reinstall "HEIC Image Viewer - Support Converter" to view Apple HEIC files with various kinds of Windows 10 software

I installed the Microsoft HEIF Image Extensions and the Video extension too from the Microsoft Store, but when I try to open my HEIC photos it comes up with "Download codecs from Microsoft store"

This is what i did to open HEIC files in Windows10 Step 1: Go to Microsoft APP Store and load HEIF Image Extension Step 2: Go to Microsoft APP Store and load HEVC Video Extension In the description of HEIF Image Extension it tells you that you must have both extensions to visualize HEIC files in Microsoft Photos
