- Found a place to refill co2 in NYC - Homebrew Talk
Recently I had to refill a tank and tried calling a few places in Manhattan that were fire extinguisher type stores I found a place that is 10 blocks away from my job and that sure beats taking a day off or a leaving a few hours early to travel to remote parts of Queens
- How much do you pay for a CO2 tank? Refill? - Homebrew Talk
I pay $17 for a 7lb refill (oddball tank) at my local scuba shop If I had a normal 5lb tank, I could exchange it at my local Airgas for $10 I bought the 7lb from Beverage Elements for around $40 shipped ( I have 2 of them)
- How to fill one CO2 tank from another? - Homebrew Talk
Hook up the refill kit to both tanks Keep all valves closed (small tank, large tank, refill and vent valves ) Put the small tank on your scale (attached to the refill hose ) Tare it out Open both tank valves open the fill valve for half a second Close it open the vent valve This chills the small tank and you can get more CO2 into it this way
- Refilling a 5 pound CO2 tank - Homebrew Talk
Seems like a straightforward process… The place that fills my 5lb bottles checks the stamped date on my bottles then hooks up a hose, puts my bottle on a scale, vents pressure from my bottle, then refill from their giant tank that has a dip tube

- Filling CO2 Cylinder at Dicks Sporting Goods? - Homebrew Talk
Has anyone on this forum had their CO2 tank cylinder filled at Dick's Sporting Goods? Did you need any sort of special adaptor to hook up to their equipment? I understand they fill cylinders for paint-ball guns I have a standard 5# tank from MoreBeer
- What are you paying to refill exchange 10# co2 tanks?
I'm in the Atlanta area and Brew Depot charges 16 bucks to refill a 5# tank The old shop I used to go to charged me like $30 to do an exchange Would rather refill my nice shiny tanks Doesn't matter either way I guess, but they are somewhat nicer to look at I paid thirty bucks to fill my nitrogen (beer gas) tank at Sidney Lee Welding Supply
