Click on I2C HID-Device Click next and allow the driver to reinstall After this mine worked, and yours should work too While still in Device manager, I opened properties on I2C HID and clicked on the power management tab that only appears if the driver is active and unchecked "Allow this driver to be turned off to save power" and then restarted

I have tried most of suggested solution Uninstalling I2C HID driver and reinstalling, downgrading drivers, load default BIOS (it was working great - Unfortunately, it doesn't now), and the last working solution now is unchecking auto detect external USB from BIOS setting :(May be this will be useful for someone

Select the Main tab, check whether the Touchpad is in I2C mode, if it is, change that to Basic Mode 2 Go to Device Manager Expand the Human Interface Device Look for I2C or HID Touchpad Right click and Update Look for "Browse my computer for driver Let me pick drivers available drivers Choose an old driver and use it

I am also facing same problem since 3-11-2023 I2C HID Device stopped working since then the touch pad is stopped working, i am unable to find this option in windows, below is the event log for the same I have raised seperate request for this however could not foudn any solution till now plz help us

sometimes when it works, in the I2C HID device properties, I have unticked the setting that allows my laptop to turn it off to save power The troubleshooter is also of no help, it detects that the I2C is not working, but does not fix the issue The touchpad settings in settings are missing, and they are also missing in the control panel
