Hey guys, I run a JVM 205h live and usually MV1 sits at around 3 4 and I boost leads with MV2, which usually sits at 4 5 Last night I got a bit of a surprise as we were playing a much larger room than normal I had MV1 at 7 and MV2 at 8 However, when it came to solos I wasn't hearing the usual volume boost I'm used to

The JVM shines in the High Gain modes (OD1 2 Orange and Red) thats where it fattens up for Rhythm work But i find the stock JVM isnt very good for Lead work, it sounds thin and shrill on the high notes Think High E from the 12th fret up Now i could get a great close mic-recorded tone from it, but playing 'live' i felt it lacked punch and

I've played one It can make sick tones but just isn't the same as an ENGL or Diezel That's not to say it's not an amazing amp in it's own right

As for the channel I was on ?????? It just freaked out and I could not stop it They are sending me a new one out today I think However I'm not sure I want it If I have to go through a rig-a-maroll to make the amp work the way it should, then it's not the amp for me This is the only Marshall
