Their name and address are all in Japanese characters I have sent two messages via Etsy and also located their email address and emailed them requesting an address in English characters No response for over a week I am now past-due on my shipping date and not sure if that will impact my rating internally with Etsy (is that even a thing?)

Do search here or on Etsy forums, shipping label Japanese If I remember right, to arrive safely original address in Japanese should be added to the package, in addition to English translation for getting shipping label US side will read it in English, Japanese in Japanese

Etsy doesn't ship, period Etsy isn't a store, each individual seller packages and ships their own things So, someone located in the US is going to ship cheaper within the US, someone located in Europe is going to ship cheaper to the countries around them, someone located in or near Japan is going to ship cheaper around here, from further away, it'll be more expensive

Just had my first sale to Japan and both the on site labels and those through royal mail won't accept the Japanese address! Etsy told me the address is invalid and missing the prefecture (why doesn't this come up when customer puts their address in?!) and Royal Mail tells me I can't use invalid characters

Print out the Japanese address as-is and stick it on the package The Japanese postal service will know what to do with it when the package gets to Japan It therefore doesn't matter if the English version is accurate, because the Japanese postal service will be looking at the Japanese address
