I thought you meant that the Gmail account highlights the newest unread which is what you want, and the Yahoo account highlights the newest read message In the image I do not see any Yahoo account, and the Gmail inbox shown has the newest unread message not highlighted, highlight is on the newest read message That's why a picture really helps
