Meater is the only one I know of that is 100% wireless If you just want remote montioring (wires from the base to the probes) I've had the Thermoworks Smoke, which is nice But I much prefer the equipment and app of the Fireboard It's wifi, not bluetooth, which greatly increases the range And the app is better (in my opinion) data wise

MEATER 2 and MEATER + both only read an ambient temp of 250F when my oven is set to 400F Figured it would be closer than that I confirmed with a wire prob temp sensor my oven is actually around 400F My point is the ambient temp is not even close even with the new MEATER 2

Prior to owning wireless probes, I would never have tried cooking meat for the first time on a new grill with company coming over And the Meater Block has been consistently accurate for me so it was nice to be able to stick a probe in each side of the turkey I already owned a Meater block and have used it quite a bit

I purchased my MEATER Block in July 2022 and for the most part it's been absolutely great I pretty much use it in my air fryer 100% of the time Around July of this year I noticed the 'end cap' on the MEATER on my 3 probe started coming away from the probe Straight away I contacted MEATER as the device was still under warranty

Just tried my Meater 2 Plus tonight on the grill I'm overall very impressed: never lost signal despite being ~150ft away from its base for a few minutes, grill got over 600F with the lid closed with no heat warnings (rated for 1kF), and told me to pull it at the exact time for an absolute perfect 165( 1)F juicy chicken breast after resting

My wife and I purchased one of the new MEATER 2 probes a few months back, and it was working great till about a week ago when we noticed it refused to charge No visible residue is present on the probe, and the base even gives the three blinks indicating it recognizes the probe

MEATERs customer service isn’t great either I have a MEATER block and probe 4 has had issues with the ambient air readings and I reached out to MEATERs customer service I took pictures of the probes in ice water and screen shots of what the app was reading and as expected probe 4 was off
