afaik modrinth is not necessarily safer than curseforge curseforge is just much more well known so it would make sense that the security compromise would happen to their mods (it was also not many mods) also, some mods i know are going to start updating their mods only on modrinth due to overwolfs support of israel

It's incredibly hard to moderate and despite conflicts with curseForge in the past, if Modrinth were targeted instead there would have been a significantly higher impact I'm contrast to cF This is simply because curseForge has a dedicated team and are quick to respond, they're forced to, it's a business after all

Modrinth either addresses or doesn't have the issues I listed (the UI being somewhat subjective, but at least in my opinion) I'm sure Modrinth has its own issues but imo it's better than curseforge overall, just needs time for more mod developers to move over (or at least upload to both services)
