Since the house is new construction a new Verizon cable drop was installed and a new account was created I've been trying for several days to convince Verizon customer service to either send me a cable card registered to the new account or allow me to transfer my old account (including the cable card) to the new address Verizon won't budge

Tried to switch to Verizon FiOS cable They will not provide a card They are forcing happy TiVo users off of the best platform and leaving the device obsolete They suggest using the Xfinity or FiOS streaming bundle to watch programming on any device Any way to get and activate a card?

As you probably know, Optimum has declared that it will completely stop supporting CableCARDS in October and Verizon Fios has decided that it will continue to support CableCARDS only for its established customers In case anyone is still hopeful that Optimum's decision is subject to revision

The newest NGPON2 from Verizon FiOS doesn't send TV over QAM either, but most people are not signing up for 2 gig+ service and still have older FTTH PON that support CableCard
