On topic nobody considers PC games as third party, even day one let alone year(s) late, otherwise MS have been third party since 2015 and this conversation would have come up then Nobody was talking about MS going third party in 2015 though, everybody considers MS going third party as a recent occurrence when they started to go to Playstation

Switch 2 is struggling with third-party support, while most was thinking (and wanting) the opposite First the excuse was "they don't have officially reveal the console yet", and now are saying that developers don't even get the devkits

My guess is that we are going to see massive lag with the number of 3rd party titles that we see on the switch 2 Nintendo seem to have focused their launch on a handful of games, Hogwarts, Cyberpunk, SF6 etc to assure Nintendo fans that the S2 wouldn't just be a Mario machine

PC was mostly invisible to me as a platform back then You can be both at once If you have your own platform they are 1st party games on your platform, but you also are publishing it on other platforms as 3rd party games If Nintendo put their console games on PC, it would be a huge deal and everyone would react accordingly

Nope but they didn't expect Nintendo, PlayStation third-party games to sale 10 , 15 , 20 even 30 million units in the coming years after they planned their approach Subs work by snatching up the customers once you become the go to place for the content you control the content prices

Third party Switch 2 games will be announced at Nintendo Directs, even if the same games are announced for other platforms elsewhere This is an arrangement that benefits both Nintendo, because they get more content for their presentations, and third parties, because they get to double dip on announcement hype

Nintendo sells it's consoles on first party It wouldn't really matter if 3rd party didn't turn up - just like it didn't matter at the beginning of switch 1 Equally I don't think 3rd party support was the reason Wii U didn't take off It's something Xbox forgot that finally killed them, and Sony are forgetting right now
