Third party Switch 2 games will be announced at Nintendo Directs, even if the same games are announced for other platforms elsewhere This is an arrangement that benefits both Nintendo, because they get more content for their presentations, and third parties, because they get to double dip on announcement hype

Nintendo sells it's consoles on first party It wouldn't really matter if 3rd party didn't turn up - just like it didn't matter at the beginning of switch 1 Equally I don't think 3rd party support was the reason Wii U didn't take off It's something Xbox forgot that finally killed them, and Sony are forgetting right now

Now the main difference I foresee is the difference in Japanese third party support compared to the Switch (2017-2021) period, It took a long time for Japanese AAA third party games to arrive on the Switch, and even when they did it was a handful or late half arsed ports
