- PrepFE, How good is it? : r FE_Exam - Reddit
I used prepfe for the FE mechanical I studied for a month and did around 900 practice problems through there portal and took the FE today From short-term memory I have to say the app wasn't that relevant Sure, it gets you in the mindset of using the reference book but no problems I remember from the prepfe page were very similar to the
- Thoughts on PrepFE : r FE_Exam - Reddit
I used prepFE and the Lindeburg question book I aimed for around 500 questions on prepFE with an average of ~70% correct If you can do that, you should be prepared! Some questions on the actually FE are more difficult But the main thing is that PrepFE gets you looking at the handbook and helps you memorize where everything is
- Is PrepFe worth the investment? : r FE_Exam - Reddit
Get PrepFE and an official NCEES practice exam Use the PrepFE category specific exams to study each topic until you know it all and then go and do all the practice exam questions Understand every single one Worked for me first try

PrepFE is only good to simulate exam day Good thing is you can time yourself, mix topics and amount of questions you like to answer and practice like real exam day setting I used prepfe on right half of my screen and opened the reference handbook on left half Real exam is the same You can flag questions and skip to come back etc etc

PrepFE was good but it can get repetitive I did not have any questions from PrepFE that was similar to the actual FE exam I felt like PrepFE is good in terms of locating formulas quicker, getting use to the Handbook, and simulate the same environment when taking the actual exam (computer based testing)
- Is PrepFE too easy? : r FE_Exam - Reddit
When studying for the FE you need to bring knowledge to the surface more than learning new things PrepFE definitely does this I only used PrepFE as my main medium to study, religiously I will say, and I passed the FE (I also took the NCEES practice test 1 week before the real exam) I studied for 18 days total, at least 4-8 hrs everyday
- How does PrepFE judge their question difficulty, and is it . . . - Reddit
I thought PrepFE questions were good representations of the easy-to-medium FE questions Not the case for the hard questions Like here - the FE "hard" questions are objectively more difficult than PrepFE's I would call this question easy for the FE Still, PrepFE was super solid prep for the 75% of the test that is mostly just a knowledge check
- Suggested % for prepFE : r FE_Exam - Reddit
Prepfe actually shows similar difficult to the FE exam too I don't know where people got this notion that it shows easier problems, it doesn't The problems on PREPFE, especially the medium-hard difficult problems are realistic based from my experience Even the easy ones in green will show up on FE exam
