Advice and Opinions on owning a 2014-2016 audi s4 or s5 I am looking into purchasing a 2014-2016 used audi s4 or s5 In the 20-30k price range I was just want to come on here and a few other sources and get opinions Where to buy, issues with the sport Audis, upgrades that are safe, etc Overall, is this a good purchase and will it be reliable?

Of course it didn’t help that her and Jonathan were so far apart and didn’t communicate in s4, but I’d really hate it if the Duffers add a love triangle storyline in s5

The S3 will feel more go-kart ish, while the S5 will feel more comfortable Its definitely quieter inside and the materials are nicer than the S3 The size on the S5 is also way better, the S3 is quite small, but it can get the job done, just barely (Source, I test drove an S5 and S3, and chose the S3, same generation you are looking at)

The S5 has much better quality with the standard profiles (less smearing details) But in V-Log they are almost the same I only use the S5II when I need fast AF

The S5 from the 2013-2017 is absolutely sexy as hell and the turbo V6 is also great from the reviews I’ve seen But no one unfortunately talks about the reliability of these From what I gather the engine is also a proven motor from Audi and one of the more reliable ones

The S5 engine and transmission are very reliable and are near bulletproof The problem lies with maintenance and other small failures The water pump and thermostat are known to leak (but covered under a lawsuit for up to 75k miles) Services such as oil change and transmission fluid changes are expensive just for the parts alone

I would obviously prefer an S5 for that price point, but am not very well versed on the reliability of those cars compared to the A5 From feedback on Reddit and random A5 owners I keep chatting up on the street (and online research of course), I know that generation A5 is pretty reliable So now I’m wondering if the S5 is comparable or not
