- sec - Central Index Key (CIK) of all traded stocks - Quantitative . . .
As noted on the SEC EDGAR data access website, the tickers txt file has been phased out and is no longer updated as of 7 1 21 As of 2021 onwards, the SEC provides the following methods for obtaining CIK, ticker, and exchanges:
- data - Is there an equivalent to SEC EDGAR for non-US companies . . .
For US public companies we can go on sec gov to find their 10-K filings etc Are there similar services in other countries? I'd be especially interested for in Europe, France, Germany, Italy,
- edgar - SEC 10-Q K Filings - Quantitative Finance Stack Exchange
The SEC doesn't have any documentation at this level of granularity (Reasons being this that this submission exemplified above maybe from that of a particular filing prep vendor software, however, this format seems to be the most pervasive as of CY2014)
- sec - Companies without filings or companyfacts on EDGAR - Quantitative . . .
SEC Edgar Dividend Hot Network Questions ssh sshd breaking changes in 24 04 Creepy situation: I'm staying
- What is the most efficient way to periodically download all new 10-K . . .
Unfortunately, there are currently no up to date bulk downloads for SEC filings The SEC does offer bulk downloads, but it includes other filings Since the SEC caps you at around 30mb s per request, using bulk downloads to get 10-Ks is very slow I'm currently looking into a storage solution that can support hosting bulk data zips, updated
- complete historical mapping of EDGAR Central Index Key (CIK) to stock . . .
SEC page says if a firm goes bankrupt or get bought, the CIK may be reused So it's important to have the complete historical mapping That is, it lists the complete mapping for each historical date from CIK to cicker
- edgar - Reading XBRL Data from the SEC FTP SITE - Quantitative Finance . . .
After I ftp into the SEC Edgar site (ftp sec gov) I am able to pull the appropriate financial statements (i e , 10-k, 10-q, 8-k, etc ) onto my local computer However, when I go to open these files, I can't seem to make much sense of them There are large parts of the files which look like garbage
- sec - What is the possible source of this filing_index. csv . . .
This is scraped from the Edgar database using a Python package or his own web-scraping tools: I believe the author constructed the filing_index csv using a similar script package as the Python package called python-edgar (see here for documentation)
