Sonamy is a fine enough ship in my book, but I much prefer the rarepair from the Fleetway comics (not to mention Amy's characterization there) No clue who to put Sonic with, though Blaze, maybe?

I've never found sonamy to be too compelling either given that it's mostly treated as a joke But my main reason for not shipping them is of course, the age gap Back in the early days Amy was actually 8 years old and given that Sonic is 15 years old, that would mean there's a 7 year age gap between them which is extremely problematic Compare

1K votes, 146 comments true IDW issue 2 demonstrates their relationship so perfectly, showing how they interact and talk with each other, their different reactions and mindsets to certain situations, and how they fight together probably one of my favorite issues from the battle for angel island arc just because i love the IDW sonic comics' way of expanding on the characters' personalities
